The Leggiero is aptly named for its ability to produce quick, delicate double bounces and faster type single strokes. It's "hammer" shaped tip propels it off the head so that clean open ornaments are more easily executed. The taper is a bit longer than the General to facilitate more of a fast arm stroke when playing an open roll or rudimentary figures.
