The GEN8 or Molto Articulate is the hardest of the persimmon felt mallets. It uses the same core as the GEN7 but with less inner wrap and a thinner layer of outer wrap. The sound is direct and immediate. I decided to keep the wrap unseamed as to keep a bit of tonality coupled with the hard attack.
